Gifutec was
incorporated on 5.2.1991 with a paid up capital of RM2 million. It started operation
in 1992 to produce tables (dining and coffee tables). Taitec Industries (M)
Sdn Bhd is its main supplier of raw materials namely, unfinished laminated
boards. It also source other wooden raw materials from the local market.
Since its incorporation, Gifutec has
been expending its operations. In 1995, they have reinvested RM2.2 million
to build another factory adjacent to its existing operations to increase
output. But even so, that is not enough. Today, they have started to build
another factory opposite to their existing ones to cater for increase
demand. This investment cost RM2.5 million.
It is hope that Gifutec can
diversify its operations into other finished products such as housing
materials, windows, doors, and wooden floor panels especially the demand in
Japan
is increasing.
